From the inception of our practice, we have seen ourselves as a dedicated group of professionals working together to do an excellent job for our clients, patients and profession. We attribute our success to our fine staff and the services we offer. Our philosophy is to maintain at all times a compassionate, welcoming atmosphere and environment, a sound professionalism in our manner with clients, and the highest standards in veterinary medicine.
OUR DOCTORS

Dr. Jim Burchett
Dr. James Burchett received his undergraduate degree from the Univeristy of Tennessee Knoxville. He then went on to graduate from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. He then returned home to Clarksville to practice. In 2005 Dr. Jim Burchett and his wife, Dr. Leslie Burchett started Family Pet Hospital and in 2008 they started our sister clinic, Tiny Town Animal Clinic. He is the father of three beautiful children, Emily, Jeb and Eli.

Dr. Leslie Burchett
Dr. Leslie Burchett attended the University of Kentucky for her undergraduate studies and received her doctorate from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. The four legged children in the household include Izzy, Willow, Briar, Aspen, Sky, Shadow, Tybee, and Josie.

Dr. Aline Kemp
Dr. Kemp graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She lives on a farm in Kentucky with her husband, daughter and many animals.

Dr. Amy Macintire
Dr. Macintire graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She lives on a farm in Clarksville with her animals Smokey, Ravelle, Ikon, Dani, Holly, & Rosebud.

Dr. Candice Blake
Dr. Blake graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She lives in Clarksville with her husband, her dog Bruce and her two cats Jagger & Jimi.

Dr. Siobhan Waitzman
Dr. Waitzman graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine & completed her clinical year at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She is pictured here with her dog Charlie.

Dr. Ethan Reese
Dr. Reese graduated from the University of Georgia in 2013 with an undergraduate degree in Animal Science, then completed his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. He lives in Clarksville with his dog, Sumo, seen here.

Dr. Richard Blake
Dr. Richard Blake grew up on a dairy farm in East Tennessee. It was here, he attended the University of Tennessee-Knoxville where earned his undergraduate and DVM degrees. He met his wife during that time, Dr. Candice Blake, DVM. He now resides in Middle TN along with family and pets. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, researching history, and metal detecting.
